Wow! Did March go by WAY too fast for anyone else?? Happy Saturday, amigos (the greatest day of the week!!) I didn't think I'd be able to top February's Newsletter, but a LOT happened last month and it looks like I might have just pulled it off. That being the case, I'll get right down to business! =D

This handsome devil is my Uncle Matt. For the past couple months, he has been going through a tremendous struggle with Lung Cancer and could really use our prayers. Matt is my mom's brother and is working hard everyday to fight back against his condition. Even if you don't pray, please do your ol' pal Raspberry this favor and say one or two for my Uncle Matt. Your prayers have really helped my Grandma, Sue Ferrante (Matt's mother) who has also been fighting Lung Cancer, and my family and I really appreciate it, guys! Please keep 'em coming and thank you all!! Prayer really works!!!
If you or anyone you know would like more information on Lung Cancer and it's treatments, just click Matt's banner.
Oh yeah, it's ON!!! I thought I'd kick off this month's E-mail Extravaganza with something new...why limit yourself to just what you're good at?!? ;D DragonForce is an ultra melodic Power Metal sextet from England, and quite possibly my favorite band of all time. When I heard they were accepting online video auditions for a new lead singer, I had to go for it! Though my musical experience and history are diverse enough, I've never done anything like this -- horizons broadened!! If you've never heard of these guys, I HIGHLY recommend checking them out via any of the following links, AND if you sing, why not try out? Life's too short to hold back...GO FOR IT!!!
"Artist Of The Month"
(Dudes I Know That Maybe You Should, Too!)
This issue's Artist Of The Month hails all the way from Minnesota! He is a 27-year-old traditional animator by the name of Ian Miller. Born in Minnesota, Ian attended the College Of Visual Arts in St. Paul as a Fine Arts major, and eventually transferred to The University Of Arts in Philadelphia. I discovered his work on YouTube and was immediately hooked by its delightfully dark subject matter and outstanding quality of animation! No joke guys, this stuff BELONGS on Adult Swim for all to see!! His original short film, "Mak The Horny Mac Daddy" received an honorable mention in the Student Film category at the 2009 Ottawa Animation Festival. This and other films Ian has created are already locked features of the 2010 Florida, Australia, and China Animation Festivals. Though his work is definitely not for the faint of heart, anyone who loves true Golden Age animation is sure to be impressed! If you like what you see, let Ian know by rating, commenting, and subscribing to his channel. Thanks for joining us, Ian, and keep up the amazing work!!
